Kimpton Ashbel New York Opens In Midtown Manhattan
Kimpton Ashbel New York – Park Avenue has opened at 70 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, marking the debut of a boutique hotel within a restored Beaux-Arts building. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, the property is located close to Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park.
The hotel occupies a building originally constructed in 1928 as the Doral Park Avenue Hotel and has been reworked to reflect a residential style of hospitality. Interiors draw on the character of a Manhattan townhouse, offering a setting designed for both leisure and business travellers.
Kimpton Ashbel Hotel Brings Residential Design To Park Avenue

The property features 205 guestrooms, including 14 connecting rooms for families. Rooms are designed with soft colour palettes and functional layouts to provide comfort in the city setting.
Public areas replace the traditional lobby with a series of interconnected residential-style spaces, including a foyer, living room, and family room. Original architectural elements, including columns and windows, have been retained and integrated into the design.
The hotel’s design has been led by Busta Studio, combining restored historic features with contemporary materials. Elements such as wood finishes, metal accents, and curated artwork contribute to the property’s overall look and feel.
Dining at the hotel includes Park & Bel, a café concept that serves coffee, baked goods, and light meals throughout the day, transitioning into a more social setting in the evening. Guests also have access to a bar cart offering cocktails, beer and wine.
The hotel offers daily programmes, such as the Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee service and an evening social hour, designed to foster shared guest experiences within the property.
Kimpton Ashbel New York – Park Avenue joins the brand’s global portfolio, contributing to its presence in key urban destinations.
