Marriott International Appoints Ankit Kumar Jha as Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata

Marriott International has appointed Ankit Kumar Jha as Director of Human Resources at JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata.

In his new role, he will lead the human resources function at the property, overseeing talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and organisational development. His responsibilities include aligning workforce strategy with business goals, strengthening HR processes, and supporting overall operational performance.

Prior to this, he was associated with Hyatt Hotels Corporation for nearly a decade across multiple properties. Most recently, he served as Human Resources Director at Alila Diwa Goa, where he managed HR strategy and employee engagement initiatives.

His earlier roles include positions at Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Hyatt Raipur, and Hyatt Regency Pune, covering various aspects of HR operations and compliance.

He has also worked with Hilton Worldwide and Trident Hotels, gaining experience in recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and training.

Ankit Kumar Jha holds a postgraduate diploma in labour laws and labour welfare from Symbiosis Law School Pune, supporting his expertise in compliance and regulatory frameworks.

The appointment reflects the property’s focus on strengthening HR leadership and aligning people practices with operational requirements.
