Jazeera Airways to Begin Scheduled Operations at Amman City Airport
Jazeera Airways will become the first airline to operate scheduled passenger flights from Amman City Airport following the airport’s recent recertification for commercial services.
The Kuwaiti low-cost carrier plans to launch the new operations in January 2026, subject to the completion of required technical and operational preparations. The services from Amman City Airport will complement Jazeera Airways’ existing twice-daily flights between Kuwait and Queen Alia International Airport.

Amman City Airport, also known as Amman Marka, served as the city’s primary passenger airport until 1983. In the years since, it has been used mainly for general aviation, government, and military activities. The airport was recertified for passenger operations in early December 2025 and is expected to function as a secondary airport for Amman, with a focus on accommodating low-cost carriers.
