Jamaica Reopens to International Tourism from December 15, 2025

Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has announced the resumption of the island’s tourism sector from December 15, 2025, welcoming international travellers back to the destination.

The reopening follows recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa’s impact on the island in late October 2025. Coordinated action among the Jamaican government, local communities, and tourism stakeholders enabled the restoration of key infrastructure, with resorts, attractions, and services now ready to receive visitors. International assistance also supported rehabilitation efforts and strengthened preparedness for future events.

Beyond these resorts, a wide range of hotels, guesthouses and villas across Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, Kingston and the South Coast are now operational or have confirmed reopening timelines, offering accommodation options across different travel segments.
