InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach transformation introduces new experiences

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has completed the final phase of its multi-year transformation, introducing updated facilities and guest experiences along Sydney’s coastline.

The latest additions include an ocean-facing infinity pool and terrace, a Club InterContinental lounge, and new recreational facilities. A spa offering is also scheduled to open in May, further expanding the hotel’s wellness features.

The refurbishment also covers 198 guestrooms and suites, alongside redesigned public spaces inspired by a coastal aesthetic.

Coogee Beach hotel transformation adds wellness and leisure facilities

The updated pool deck has been designed as a relaxed outdoor space overlooking the coastline, with cabanas, seating areas and dining options. The hotel has also introduced pickleball courts, further enhancing its leisure offerings.

The upcoming Èliva Spa will include facilities such as mineral pools, saunas, treatment rooms and recovery-focused amenities, contributing to the property’s wellness positioning.

Dining is supported by Shutters Restaurant & Bar, while curated local experiences encourage guests to explore the surrounding areas, including coastal walks and nearby attractions.

The transformation reflects IHG’s ongoing development of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio, with InterContinental properties continuing to expand across global markets.
