InterContinental Muscat has announced two new appointments, further strengthening its internal leadership team.
Matthew Piercy- Appointed as Director of Food & Beverage
In this role at InterContinental Muscat, Matthew will be responsible for enhancing the overall guest experience by curating elevated dining experiences for guests that include both local Oman flavors and global food and beverage trends.
He will aim to introduce innovative dining concepts and events and foster a dynamic F&B culture within the community.
Excited for his role, Matthew said, “I am excited to join the incredible team at InterContinental Muscat. My goal is to create immersive dining experiences that resonate with our guests, showcasing the richness of Omani culture while offering a warm, inviting atmosphere.”
Ryan Cornelio- Appointed as Commercial Director
Ryan brings extensive knowledge of Oman’s hospitality landscape and experience across Asia and the Middle East. Over the course of his career, Ryan has led high-performing teams in key global markets, including India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, and Oman.
He has held leadership roles with renowned hospitality brands including Marriott International, Accor, IHHR Hospitality, and ONYX Hospitality Group, holding extensive expertise in revenue generation, team leadership and operations.
Excited for his new role, Ryan said, “It is a privilege to return to Oman and contribute to IHG’s flagship hotel in Muscat, Oman, a true landmark in the Sultanate’s dynamic hospitality landscape,” remarked Ryan. “A successful commercial strategy begins with understanding our guests, partners, and teams, and translating those valuable insights into opportunities that deliver enduring value.”
