Strategic Collaboration: IndiGo and Singapore Tourism Board Launch Year-Long Travel Partnership
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and IndiGo, one of India’s leading airlines, have signed a year-long Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote Singapore as a key leisure and business destination for Indian travellers. The agreement aims to drive travel demand through IndiGo’s extensive network and marks STB’s first MoU with an Indian airline, as well as IndiGo’s first such partnership with a national tourism board.
India Remains a Key Market for Singapore
India continues to be among Singapore’s top three source markets for tourism, with more than 500,000 Indian visitors recorded in the first half of 2025. This is supported by strong air connectivity—over 270 weekly flights link Singapore to 15 Indian cities via Changi Airport. Singapore remains a popular international destination in IndiGo’s network, reflecting steady two-way demand.
Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, IndiGo will introduce its IndiGoStretch business product on flights between Singapore and Delhi/Mumbai starting 9 August 2025, aligning with Singapore’s National Day. IndiGo currently connects Singapore to nine Indian cities, offering convenient options for both leisure and business travellers.
Enhancing the Travel Experience

This collaboration builds on the earlier success of the “Untold Singapore” campaign and aims to highlight both iconic and lesser-known aspects of Singapore. The joint campaign will offer travel deals, co-branded content, influencer-led storytelling, and immersive digital experiences to engage Indian travellers more deeply during their planning process.
The initiative also includes B2B engagement, such as trade roadshows across India, training programmes, MICE-focused incentives, and familiarisation trips for the travel trade. By combining marketing insights and data analytics, STB and IndiGo aim to develop targeted outreach strategies tailored to Indian traveller preferences.
Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board, said:
“As we mark 60 years of India-Singapore relations, our collaboration with IndiGo through the ‘Untold Singapore’ campaign supports our goal of engaging Indian travellers seeking new and authentic experiences. Together, we aim to strengthen tourism ties and inspire more travel between our countries.”
Pieter Elbers, CEO, IndiGo, added:
“India and Singapore share strong ties, and this partnership offers a valuable opportunity to expand travel in both directions. With our growing network and introduction of IndiGoStretch on select Singapore routes, we are committed to offering more options and a better experience to our customers.”
