Can Gio Development to Add Four IHG Hotel Brands

IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a partnership with Cangio Tourist City Corporation to introduce four hotel brands at Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio in Ho Chi Minh City.

The agreement will see the development of more than 1,000 rooms across four properties, including InterContinental Saigon Can Gio and Crowne Plaza Saigon Can Gio, each with 400 rooms, as well as Holiday Inn Express Saigon Can Gio and Garner Hotel Saigon Can Gio, each with 130 rooms.

The project is part of a wider plan to expand hospitality infrastructure in Can Gio, an area known for its coastal location and proximity to Ho Chi Minh City. The addition of these hotels is expected to support rising travel demand driven by business, leisure, and longer stays.

Holiday Inn Express Saigon Can Gio and Garner Hotel Saigon Can Gio are scheduled to open in 2028, while InterContinental Saigon Can Gio and Crowne Plaza Saigon Can Gio are expected to follow in 2030.

The partnership will be managed and implemented by Vinpearl, a member of Vingroup, working alongside IHG through the development and operational phases.

The hotel portfolio will form part of a broader accommodation offering at Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio, contributing to the development’s hospitality ecosystem. Additional plans for the site include entertainment, leisure, and transport infrastructure to support visitor access and extended stays in the region.

Can Gio is located in the southeast of Ho Chi Minh City and is positioned near the Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, recognised by UNESCO. The area is also expected to benefit from planned transport projects, including improved road and rail connectivity that will link it more closely with central Ho Chi Minh City.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 23 hotels in Vietnam, with a further 20 properties in development, reflecting its continued expansion in the country.
