IHCL Signs Taj Safaris Lodge in Satpura, Madhya Pradesh
New Wildlife Lodge Project Expands Presence in Eco-Tourism Segment
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a new Taj Safaris lodge in Satpura, Madhya Pradesh. The project will be developed as a greenfield property, adding to the company’s presence in India’s wildlife tourism segment.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the signing reflects growing opportunities in eco-tourism and strengthens the company’s footprint in Madhya Pradesh, where it already operates lodges in Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Panna. The project is being developed in partnership with Sarvapratham Hospitality Private Limited.
Project Details and Location
The Taj Safaris lodge in Satpura will feature 20 rooms spread across approximately 30 acres. Located about two hours from Bhopal Airport, the property is set within a region known for its forest landscape and wildlife.
The lodge will include an all-day dining restaurant and a bar. Guests will have access to guided safaris led by trained naturalists, offering insights into the local ecosystem.

Satpura National Park is home to a range of wildlife, including Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and Indian bison, as well as numerous bird and reptile species.
With this signing, IHCL will have five Taj Safaris properties in Madhya Pradesh, including one currently under development.
