Taj Resort Chail: IHCL’s Newest Addition

Chail Welcomes New Taj Resort

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Taj resort in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. The conversion project includes expanding the resort to 100-keys.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Himachal Pradesh is home to many off-beat and idyllic destinations like Chail and IHCL with 11 hotels across brands in the state is committed to unlocking its tourism potential. This signing is in line with our strategy of pioneering and nurturing emerging destinations, offering travellers distinctive experiences rooted in local culture. We are delighted to partner with Mr. Girish Batra and Mr. Vansh Batra to bring the iconic Taj brand to the region.”

Taj Chail is located in a green area and blends contemporary design and colonial style, showcasing intricate latticework, stained glass, and cobblestone paths. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a bar. The resort also boasts a heated swimming pool, a fitness centre, an activity centre, and a J Wellness Circle spa. Additionally, it offers the largest banqueting venue in Chail, perfect for social events and celebrations.

Girish Batra and Vansh Batra, Tarika Group said, “We are excited to collaborate with IHCL and introduce Taj to Chail. The resort will enhance the destination’s tourism potential.”

Chail is a hill station in Himachal Pradesh renowned for its forests, mountain views, and heritage sites, including the famous Chail Palace. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 11 hotels in Himachal Pradesh, including 6 under development.
