IHCL Expands Kerala Presence with Tree of Life Resort

Indian Hotels Company Limited has announced the signing of a new Tree of Life Wayanad resort in Kerala, marking the Tree of Life brand’s entry into the state.

The brownfield project will be located in Wayanad, overlooking Banasura Lake, and will feature 55 guest rooms spread across more than 4 acres.

The resort will include an all-day dining restaurant, bar, swimming pool, spa and recreational facilities designed for leisure travellers seeking nature-led stays.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said Wayanad is seeing increasing interest from travellers seeking immersive, experience-driven destinations.

The project is being developed in partnership with Geeone Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Geeone International LLC.

Saeed Edavankandy, Chairman of Geeone Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Managing Director of Geeone International LLC, said the partnership aims to strengthen Wayanad’s appeal as a leisure destination.

Located in the Western Ghats, Wayanad is known for its biodiversity and attractions, including Banasura Sagar Dam, Pookode Lake and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.

With the addition of this property, IHCL’s portfolio in Kerala will increase to 23 hotels, including projects currently under development.
