ibis Strengthens Sales Leadership with Key Appointments in Kochi and Coimbatore

ibis has announced the appointment of Vijayalakshmi P V as Director of Sales at ibis Kochi City Centre and Rathiesh Krishnan as Director of Sales at ibis Coimbatore. The appointments have been made as part of the brand’s strategy to strengthen its commercial leadership across key southern markets in India.

Vijayalakshmi P V- Director of Sales at ibis Kochi City Centre

At ibis Kochi City Centre, Vijayalakshmi P V brings over 12 years of professional experience, including more than eight years in hospitality sales, she returns to the property after previously being part of its pre-opening team as Sales Manager, where she contributed to its market entry and positioning.

Prior to this role, she was associated with Kochi Marriott Hotel as Assistant Director of Sales. Her professional journey also includes experience with Novotel Kochi Infopark and Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty.

In addition, she has worked outside the hospitality sector with Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant and has been recognised as a Presidents Club-winning SaaS Senior Account Manager.

An Executive MBA graduate from IIM Kozhikode, she is expected to strengthen the hotel’s market positioning, corporate engagement, and overall revenue performance.

Rathiesh Krishnan- Director of Sales at ibis Coimbatore

At ibis Coimbatore, Rathiesh Krishnan joins as Director of Sales with over 17 years of hospitality experience, primarily focused on southern India. His career spans several leading hospitality brands, where he has developed strong expertise in corporate and group business.

In his most recent role with Hyatt as Senior Sales Manager, he was responsible for managing key accounts, driving revenue growth, and building long-term client relationships.

His core expertise include corporate and group sales, contract negotiations, revenue strategy, and market analysis, along with experience in handling conferences and events.

In his new role, he is expected to strengthen corporate sales, expand key accounts, and enhance the hotel’s market share.
