APPOINTMENT

Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the appointment of Pankaj Behl as the new Director of Rooms, marking a significant addition to the hotel’s leadership team.

Pankaj holds over 14 years of extensive experience in leadership across rooms division sectors, having worked with globally renowned brands such as Hyatt, Marriott, IHG, Starwood, and Taj. His appointment is aligned with the hotel’s long-term strategy to enhance guest satisfaction, drive process innovation, and strengthen brand consistency.

In his most recent role as Executive Housekeeper at Andaz Delhi and Hyatt Delhi Residences, Pankaj was responsible for leading operations for 401 guest rooms and luxury serviced residences with a team of over 150 associates. Under his leadership, the property consistently achieved outstanding performance scores.

Pankaj concurrently serves as the Area Guest Experience Specialist – West Region for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, overseeing guest experience enhancement across 11 Hyatt hotels.

In this strategic role, he has been instrumental in implementing Medallia-based guest insight programs, service recovery protocols, and hotel audits, while coaching cross-functional teams to elevate CES and NPS performance metrics.

I believe that every moment of the guest experience counts, and I look forward to leading a team that strives for excellence, consistency, and heartfelt hospitality at every touchpoint.” Throughout his career, Pankaj has held several senior positions, including Executive Housekeeper at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa and Crowne Plaza Today Gurugram, where he led large-scale operations and pioneered process improvements that significantly enhanced room readiness and service delivery. His earlier stints at JW Marriott, The Leela, and Taj Bengal further shaped his operational acumen and deepened his commitment to innovation, training, and quality.

In his new role as Director of Rooms, Pankaj will lead all aspects of rooms division operations at Hyatt Regency Chennai, including front office, housekeeping, guest services, and residences. He will focus on enhancing operational workflows, and elevating guest experiences.
