Marriott and SAMHI Announce India Expansion

The hotels will be premier destinations for affluent travelers and residents, opening between 2026 and 2028. This partnership aims to strengthen both companies' presence in the Indian market.

Marriott Teams Up with SAMHI 

Marriott International, Inc. and SAMHI Hotels Limited have announced a multi-deal agreement to develop three new properties in India, totalling over 568 rooms. The projects include the W Hyderabad Hitec City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Bengaluru Whitefield, and The Westin Bengaluru Whitefield. These hotels are expected to become premier destinations for affluent travellers and residents, with openings anticipated between 2026 and 2028. This collaboration aims to strengthen the presence of both companies in the Indian market.

W Hyderabad Hitec City  

Located in Hitec City, Hyderabad's largest office micro-market, this hotel will be the first W Hotels brand to open in the city. Scheduled to debut in 2026, the W Hyderabad Hitec City is expected to feature 190 guestrooms and suites. Guests will have a variety of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a Pool Bar, a vibrant speciality restaurant, a patisserie, and the brand's signature Living Room, which serves as a modern take on the hotel lobby. 

Additionally, the hotel plans to offer over 950 sq m of event space, a FIT workout facility, and a spa designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. Throughout their stay, guests will benefit from the brand's signature Whatever/Whenever service, allowing them to enjoy whatever they desire, whenever they desire it.

Bengaluru Whitefield, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel  

The hotel is expected to open in 2026 and will offer 142 guestrooms and suites that include both indoor and outdoor living spaces. Dining options are planned to feature an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a Lobby Lounge, all showcasing innovative cuisine that reflects the local culture. Additional amenities will include a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, and 792 square meters of space for meetings and events.

The Westin Bengaluru Whitefield  

Scheduled to open in 2028, The Westin Bengaluru Whitefield will feature 236 rooms and suites. The plans for the hotel include four dining options, a WestinWORKOUT Fitness studio, the signature Heavenly Spa by Westin, a rooftop swimming pool, and 1,380 square meters of flexible meeting and banquet space equipped with natural light and smart technology. This hotel aims to represent the brand's commitment to being a global leader in hospitality and well-being, allowing travelers to overcome the challenges of travel through its signature programs and the six pillars of well-being.

Currently, India is home to 17 brands within Marriott Bonvoy, each offering distinct experiences across various traveler segments. The luxury segment includes St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, W Hotels, The Luxury Collection, and JW Marriott. The premium segment features Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Renaissance Hotels, Le Meridien, Westin Hotels, Tribute Portfolio, Marriott Executive Apartments, and Moxy. Lastly, the select service segment is represented by Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft Hotels, and Fairfield by Marriott.
