Hospitality professional Abhijit Dey has announced the launch of Starline Hospitality, a Mumbai-based hotel operating company focused on operational performance, revenue management and brand standards. With over 15 years of experience across hotel groups in India, Dey’s new venture marks his move into entrepreneurship, with a focus on driving growth across owned and franchised hotel assets.

Starline Hospitality aims to address changing expectations within the hospitality sector by offering end-to-end management solutions. The company is focused on improving sales performance while maintaining consistency in guest experience and asset quality. Its approach combines Indian hospitality practices with structured service standards and operational processes.

The company employs a dual approach across owned and franchised properties. For owned assets, Starline assumes responsibility for profit and loss, managing operations, sales, and capital planning. For franchised hotels, it concentrates on maintaining brand standards, representing owners, and optimising fee structures. This model aims to deliver measurable results, including enhanced asset performance and increased returns for owners.

How hospitality students see their future in the industry

Starline Hospitality has outlined a performance-driven framework, including targeted annual growth supported by improvements in RevPAR and gross operating profit. The company also applies standard operating procedures across franchised properties and uses its internal Quality Index (SQI) for owned hotels. Cost management measures, including centralised procurement, workforce planning and energy efficiency, are part of its operating strategy.

This approach is informed by Abhijit Dey’s experience across hospitality brands such as Stone Wood Hotels and Resorts, Great Value Hospitality, VITS Kamats Hotels, Cambay Hotels & Resorts, and K Raheja Hotels. His background includes roles in sales, business development, hotel operations and asset management.

Commenting on the launch, Abhijit Dey said, “Starline Hospitality has been established with a focus on consistent performance and guest engagement. Our work with investors, travel partners and corporate clients is centred on delivering value through structured operations and long-term growth.”

Technology forms a key part of the company’s strategy, with the use of tools for guest personalisation and revenue optimisation, including the NORTH STAR Model. These systems are designed to support the guest journey from booking through to check-out, while also improving revenue opportunities.

Starline Hospitality has also outlined its approach to sustainability, with plans for premium properties to work toward LEED Platinum certification and long-term carbon-reduction goals under its ‘Responsible Luxury’ framework.

The company is also focused on developing guest-facing experiences across dining, cultural engagement and lifestyle programming, aimed at supporting property positioning in competitive markets.

People development is a central part of the organization’s approach. Starline Hospitality plans to invest in training programmes, continuous learning and team engagement to support service delivery and operational consistency.

With an expanding presence across key destinations in India, Starline Hospitality is building its portfolio through partnerships, operational performance, and long-term asset value creation.
