Harikishore S Appointed as New Joint Secretary at Ministry of Tourism

APPOINTMENT

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has announced the appointment of Harikishore S as the new Joint Secretary.

Harikishore is an IAS Officer from the Kerala cadre (2008 Batch). As per an official notice, his tenure at the ministry will be of five years. He replaces M.R. Synrem, IAS (AM: 2002) in the current role.

The appointment is being seen as a key move to strengthen the Ministry’s operations and strategic focus when India plans to expand its tourism footprints globally.

Harikishore brings extensive administrative experience to the role, with further expertise in governance and public administration.
