Goa Tourism and Kazakhstan: Building Travel Links and Market Presence

Goa Tourism marked its participation at the 2026 edition of the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF) in Almaty, using the platform to present its evolving tourism approach and strengthen engagement with Central Asian markets.

During the inauguration, Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, spoke about the state’s focus on developing tourism that balances visitor experience with sustainability and long-term planning. He noted that while Goa is widely known for its coastline, the state is also promoting cultural experiences, heritage, and inland destinations.

He highlighted existing connectivity between Kazakhstan and India through Air Astana, with flights to Mumbai and Delhi and onward travel to Goa. Discussions are ongoing to explore additional charter connections from Almaty and Astana through carriers such as FlyArystan and SCAT Airlines.
