Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn, A Morgans Originals Hotel Elevate Shamoyel Ozair to Associate Director of Rooms & Sustainability

Fairmont Mumbai has elevated Shamoyel Ozair to Associate Director of Rooms & Sustainability for Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn, A Morgans Originals Hotel.

Ozair has been part of the hotel’s pre-opening and operational journey, contributing across rooms operations, housekeeping, guest experience, and sustainability initiatives.

With over 16 years of experience in luxury hospitality, he brings expertise in rooms division operations, housekeeping, sustainability and ESG programmes, quality assurance, budgeting, pre-openings, and team development. He has previously worked with hospitality brands including Fairmont, Raffles, and The Leela.

Prior to this role, he served as Director of Housekeeping & Sustainability at Fairmont Mumbai, where he oversaw housekeeping operations, laundry, procurement, landscaping, and brand standards, along with managing vendor partnerships and supporting large-scale events.

He has also held multiple roles at Fairmont Jaipur over a seven-year tenure, progressing from Assistant Housekeeping Manager to Executive Housekeeper. During this period, he managed large-scale operations and contributed to sustainability initiatives and audit processes. His experience also includes positions at The Leela Mumbai and The Leela Palace New Delhi.

Ozair has received key industry recognition, including Housekeeping Person of the Year at the Accor India Hotel Awards 2018, Executive Housekeeper of the Year – North at the IHE Excellence Awards 2020, He has also been associated with pre-opening teams for Raffles Udaipur, Raffles Jaipur, and Fairmont Mumbai.

In his new role, he will oversee rooms division operations across both properties, including housekeeping, laundry, guest service standards, and sustainability initiatives. His responsibilities will also include driving ESG goals, operational efficiency, and adherence to brand standards.
