Fairmont Hotels Continue Renovations Across Key Destinations

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced a global renovation programme covering properties across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, as the brand continues to update its hotels while preserving their heritage and local character.

Around 20 percent of the Fairmont portfolio is currently undergoing renovation. Major projects include Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda and Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva in Switzerland, with both properties scheduled to reopen in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

The programme also includes upgrades at several other Fairmont hotels. Renovation work is underway at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, The Savoy in London, Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa, Fairmont Tremblant, Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver and Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Québec City.

Recently completed projects include improvements at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Pittsburgh, Fairmont Orchid in Hawai’i, and Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, with updates to guest rooms, wellness facilities, restaurants, and meeting spaces.

Further renovations are planned for Fairmont Winnipeg, which will temporarily close from July 2026 before reopening in 2027, while Fairmont Beijing will begin a full renovation from September 2026.

Additional refurbishment projects are also progressing across the Fairmont portfolio, including Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Empress, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, Fairmont Royal York and Fairmont Nile City in Egypt.

According to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the renovation programme is focused on modernising hotels while maintaining the architectural heritage and cultural identity that define each property.
