EVA Air Expands Thailand Connectivity with Washington DC Service
TAT Welcomes EVA Air Washington DC Route
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has welcomed the launch of EVA Air’s new scheduled service between Washington Dulles International Airport and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, providing an additional one-stop travel option for passengers travelling from North America to Bangkok and other destinations across Thailand.
The new service commenced on 26 June 2026 and operates four times a week, with a flight time of approximately 15-16 hours. The route strengthens EVA Air’s North American network and offers travellers from the Washington DC region, as well as connecting passengers from across the United States and Canada, convenient onward connections to Thailand through Taipei.
EVA Air currently operates up to 32 weekly flights between Bangkok and Taipei during its Summer 2026 schedule, with a flight time of around four hours. The airline also serves Chiang Mai and Phuket from Taipei, providing travellers with access to destinations across Northern and Southern Thailand.

Chompu Marusachot, Director of the TAT New York Office, said the new Washington DC service improves one-stop access to Thailand from an important North American gateway. She added that improved air connectivity supports the development of long-haul tourism by making it easier for travellers to visit Thailand for culture, wellness, nature, gastronomy and other travel experiences.
The Washington, DC route is operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with Royal Laurel Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class.
With the addition of Washington, D.C., EVA Air now serves 10 destinations across North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, Vancouver and Toronto.
TAT continues to promote Thailand in the North American market through its Value over Volume strategy, focusing on longer stays, responsible tourism and travel experiences that encourage visitors to explore destinations across the country.
The new service is expected to further strengthen air connectivity between North America and Thailand while providing travellers with additional options to reach the Kingdom through Taipei.
