Uzbekistan Codeshare Agreement Connects Etihad Airways With Regional Destinations

Etihad Airways and Uzbekistan Airways have signed a new codeshare agreement to improve connectivity between the UAE and Central Asia. The partnership commences on 15 May 2026, with the first codeshare flights available from 9 August 2026.

Under the agreement, Etihad passengers will be able to book single-ticket journeys on Uzbekistan Airways-operated flights from Tashkent to eight destinations across Uzbekistan, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Nukus, Termez, Fergana, Namangan and Andizhan. The partnership also includes access to selected international destinations served by Uzbekistan Airways.

Passengers travelling with Uzbekistan Airways will gain direct access to Abu Dhabi through Etihad’s new daily Tashkent-Abu Dhabi service launching this summer. Both airlines are also working towards a frequent flyer partnership between Etihad Guest and UzAirPlus.

Uzbekistan continues to attract international travellers interested in Silk Road cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara, as well as destinations including Khiva and Karakalpakstan. The agreement is expected to support tourism and business travel between the two regions.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said the partnership would improve access to multiple destinations across Uzbekistan while strengthening connectivity through Abu Dhabi.

Shukhrat Yadgarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Commerce and Tourism at Uzbekistan Airways JSC, said the agreement marks another step in the airline’s international network expansion and would support tourism, cultural exchange and business relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

With the addition of Uzbekistan Airways, Etihad’s partner network now includes 46 codeshare and more than 130 interline partners, offering connectivity to over 350 destinations worldwide.
