ENVI Lodges appoints Lianne Kelly-Maartens and Shanawaz Basheer to leadership team

ENVI Lodges has appointed two directors to its leadership team as it plans to expand across Tanzania, Zanzibar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia between 2026 and 2027.

Lianne Kelly-Maartens joins as Director of Sales & Marketing – Africa, bringing over two decades of experience in the travel and hospitality sector across the continent. She has held senior commercial roles with organisations including Cape Grace, Matetsi Victoria Falls, Sun International, and We Are Africa. Her work has focused on revenue planning and market positioning across regions such as Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and North America.

In her new role, she will oversee sales and marketing strategy for ENVI Lodges’ operations in Africa, with a focus on market development, partnerships and brand visibility.

Shanawaz Basheer
Shanawaz Basheer

Shanawaz Basheer joins as Director of Operations, bringing more than 20 years of experience across Africa and Asia. He has held leadership roles with hospitality groups, including Aman Resorts, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Wildplaces Africa. His background includes work on lodge operations and pre-opening projects in destinations such as Ghana, India, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

At ENVI Lodges, he will oversee operations across the company’s portfolio, focusing on lodge management, team development and responsible tourism practices.

Noelle Homsy, Co-Founder of ENVI Lodges, said the appointments align with the company’s plans to expand into new destinations while maintaining its nature-based hospitality approach.
