Emirates Introduces New Airport Lounge Design

Emirates Lounge Concept Rolls Out Across Global Network

Emirates has introduced a new signature lounge concept that will be rolled out across several cities in its global network during 2026. The refreshed design has already been unveiled at the airline’s lounges in Munich and Frankfurt, with new lounges in Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul scheduled to follow in the coming months.

The airline plans to invest more than AED 50 million in each next-generation lounge as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the airport experience for premium travellers.

The updated lounge concept takes inspiration from Emirates’ latest cabin interiors, combining contemporary design, upgraded facilities and locally inspired dining. The lounges have been created to provide dedicated spaces for dining, work, relaxation and socialising.

According to the airline, the lounge design includes more than 50 enhancements, including new lighting, marble and gold finishes, herringbone flooring and design elements inspired by the UAE’s Ghaf tree.

New Facilities for Work and Relaxation

The redesigned lounges include private work areas, communal seating, wireless charging, universal power outlets and improved connectivity for travellers who wish to work before their flight.

Customers looking to relax will have access to upgraded shower suites featuring VOYA amenities, dedicated quiet zones with blankets, eye masks and earplugs, as well as prayer rooms with ablution facilities. Private meeting rooms and breastfeeding spaces have also been included in the new design.

Dining and Beverage Experience

Dining areas have been redesigned with live cooking stations serving freshly prepared dishes throughout the day. Menus will feature a mix of international cuisine alongside regional specialities and locally inspired dishes.

The lounges will also include a dedicated barista station serving speciality coffees and teas, while a mixologist will prepare cocktails and mocktails using local ingredients. Emirates will continue to offer its range of wines, beers, champagne and spirits.

Adel Al Redha

Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer at Emirates, said the investment reflects the airline’s focus on enhancing every stage of the customer journey through updated lounge interiors, hospitality and technology.
