Emirates Orders 8 Additional Airbus A350-900 Aircraft

Emirates has placed an order for eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft during the Dubai Airshow 2025. The order, valued at US$3.4 billion at list prices, brings the airline’s total A350-900 commitment to 73 units. Emirates has received 13 A350 aircraft to date, with the newly ordered aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2031.

According to HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the A350’s entry into service last year has added capacity and enabled the airline to introduce its latest inflight products to more routes. He noted that Emirates continues to work with Airbus on the delivery of the remaining A350s, alongside its recently announced Boeing 777-9 order. The airline now has 375 wide-body aircraft on order.

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales, said the renewed order reflects Emirates’ continued use of the A350 for long-haul operations. Rolls-Royce Senior Vice President Omar Ali Adib added that the Trent XWB-84 engine, which exclusively powers the A350-900, has supported the aircraft’s performance for a decade.

Emirates’ A350 programme contributes to manufacturing activity across European aerospace supply chains.
