IndiGo Expands International Network with New Direct Flight to Madinah

IndiGo’s Madinah Connection

IndiGo has announced the launch of a new direct service between Hyderabad and Madinah, which will begin on February 20, 2025. This new route will be IndiGo’s 38th international destination and its 128th destination overall, further emphasizing the airline’s commitment to connecting people, places, and cultures. Currently, IndiGo operates over 190 daily departures, serving 65 domestic and 15 international destinations from Hyderabad.

Madinah is an important destination for pilgrims undertaking the Hajj and Umrah. The new service will operate three times a week, providing convenient and affordable travel options for pilgrims and other travellers who wish to visit this revered city.

Regarding this development, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated, “The launch of the Hyderabad-Madinah route is more than just an expansion of our network; it opens a vital gateway for religious and cultural exchange. By starting direct flights to Madinah, a major Islamic pilgrimage site, we aim to simplify travel within the region and beyond. With this new flight, IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from India.”
