Delta Showcases Education Impact in ‘Dreams in Motion’
In recognition of International Education Month, Delta Airlines presents “Dreams in Motion,” a short film series debuting on 1 December on Delta seatback screens and YouTube.
The series follows the journey of Alexandria Greenlee, a Detroit native raised by a single father, from Spelman College to the Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Her story reflects Delta’s commitment to the communities it serves, the role of partnerships, and the impact of education in supporting global opportunities.
Through the Schwarzman Scholars program, Delta supports the development of globally minded leaders who can navigate international challenges and engage across cultures. Each year, the airline supports up to 200 scholars in a one-year, fully funded master’s program in global affairs at Tsinghua University.
Delta’s educational partnerships with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and Spelman College extend support through scholarships, mentorship, and programs that prepare future leaders. Alexandria benefited from UNCF during her first year at Spelman, an organization that assists students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in pursuing higher education.
During International Education Week, Delta highlights stories like those of Alexandria’s and JA Africa’s scholars in Akwaaba, showing the impact of investing in education on learning opportunities and career development.
