APPOINTMENT
The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, has announced the appointment of Chef Ankit Malhotra as its new Executive Chef.
With more than 15 years of experience across leading luxury hotel brands in India and overseas, he steps into the role after serving as Executive Sous Chef at the property.
Chef Malhotra has played a significant role in shaping the hotel’s culinary direction since joining the team. His work has included developing menus, maintaining quality standards, and mentoring kitchen staff across various dining operations. His earlier career began at The Imperial, New Delhi, followed by key culinary positions at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore; Taj West End Bengaluru; JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar; Conrad Pune; and Radisson Blu Hotel, London Bloomsbury. His professional journey reflects his exposure to diverse cuisines and his experience leading teams in high-volume and specialty kitchen environments.
In his new role, Chef Malhotra will oversee the overall culinary strategy for the hotel. This includes supervising its speciality restaurants, banqueting operations, and wellness-oriented culinary programmes, which remain central to the Westin brand. He will also guide menu development, cross-team collaborations, and innovation across both restaurants and banquet services.
