Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho in Tokyo, located in Nihonbashi Kabutocho. The hotel features 195 rooms and is conveniently situated just steps away from the Kayabacho and Nihonbashi subway stations, providing easy access to Tokyo Station, Marunouchi, Ginza, and both Haneda and Narita airports.

Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo features Talk Shop, a flexible all-day social space designed for guests and locals to eat, drink, work, and connect.

Brand Expansion

First launched in 2022, Caption by Hyatt is an upscale, focused-service hotel brand with self-activated and intuitive features. The Kabutocho Tokyo property joins existing locations in Shanghai, Osaka, and Nashville.

Guestrooms and Design

The hotel’s 195 rooms range from Standard to Suite categories, reflecting four themes — “Bridge,” “Community,” “Old & New,” and “Future.” Interior design by Mitchell & Eades draws inspiration from Kabutocho’s heritage, incorporating local motifs and traditional Japanese crafts. Rooms feature amenities such as self-service check-in, complimentary Wi-Fi, TV streaming, and in-room washer/dryer in suites.

Talk Shop

Talk Shop serves as the hotel’s social hub, offering craft burgers, salads, desserts, and beverages, including custom-blend coffee and craft beers. The space accommodates a variety of uses throughout the day, from morning coffee to evening gatherings. A 24/7 Market provides ready-to-eat items and products from Nihonbashi heritage brands. Cultural programs such as chiyogami notebook workshops and Jazz Nights connect guests and the local community.

Sustainability

Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo has received the DBJ Green Building Plan Certification from the Development Bank of Japan. The hotel features a hybrid timber-and-steel structure and incorporates measures such as refillable water stations and a reduction in single-use plastics.

Grand Opening Offer

To mark the opening, guests booking directly with Hyatt can access a Grand Opening Offer for stays from October 7, 2025, to January 31, 2026, including a welcome drink, a curated local gift, and 500 World of Hyatt Bonus Points per qualifying night.
