Observed annually, World Elephant Day highlights the need to protect elephants and their habitats, while advocating for improved treatment of both wild and captive elephants. This year’s celebration coincided with Thai National Mother’s Day, offering an opportunity to honour both mothers and Thailand’s elephants.

The day began with a traditional Blessing Ceremony, where monks offered prayers for elephants, mahouts, guests, and team members. The ritual symbolised respect and harmony, reinforcing the connection between humans and elephants.

An Elephant Education session followed, bringing together mothers, children, and team members with their families. The session, led by the Elephant Camp team, shared insights into elephant behaviour, care, and conservation, encouraging intergenerational learning and a deeper understanding of Thailand’s national animal.
