Anantara Desaru Coast Resort Appoints Hervé Duboscq as General Manager

Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas has announced the appointment of Hervé Duboscq as General Manager, strengthening the resort’s focus on delivering guest-centred luxury hospitality experiences.

With more than 30 years of international hospitality experience, Duboscq brings extensive expertise in managing resorts across Asia, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. Originally from France, he began his career with global hospitality brands, including Starwood, before spending over 14 years with Shangri-La. Prior to joining Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, he served as General Manager of Shangri-La Colombo in Sri Lanka.

Throughout his career, Duboscq has led teams in Oman, Singapore, Indonesia, the Maldives and New Caledonia. He has built a reputation for strengthening service standards, improving operational performance and creating engaging guest experiences.

In his new role, Duboscq will focus on enhancing the resort’s position within Malaysia’s coastal hospitality market. His leadership approach combines Anantara’s guest-focused philosophy with an emphasis on authentic experiences that reflect the destination’s culture and natural surroundings.
