American Airlines Introduces Premium Economy on New York–Los Angeles Route Starting October 5

American Airlines is set to introduce Premium Economy service on select transcontinental flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning October 5.

“For travellers seeking added comfort on this important domestic route, Premium Economy offers an upgraded experience,” said Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer.
“With enhanced seating, amenities, and dining, this marks a meaningful step in expanding our premium offerings within the U.S.”
Customers booking Premium Economy on this route will receive priority check-in, security screening, and boarding. Onboard, passengers will enjoy wider seats with increased legroom, a lumbar support pillow by Ostrichpillow®, and a crepe weave blanket.
Additional features include a personal amenity kit with skincare products and travel essentials, complimentary beverages, and a hot meal served with salad and dessert on chinaware. Entertainment options include larger monitors, in-seat power outlets, and noise-reducing headphones.
Tickets for Premium Economy service will be available starting July 28 via aa.com and the American Airlines mobile app.
