American Airlines Named Official Airline of Women in Aviation International 2026 Conference

American Airlines announced a partnership with Women in Aviation International (WAI) for 2026 and will serve as the Official Airline of the 37th Women in Aviation International Conference. The event is scheduled for March 19–21, 2026, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Centre in Grapevine, Texas.

WAI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting women in aviation and aerospace. With over 20,000 members across 120 countries, the organization supports workforce development, career awareness, and industry engagement for women and girls pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace.

Cole Brown, Chief People Officer at American Airlines, stated that the partnership aligns with the airline’s focus on representation and workforce development as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. He mentioned that the collaboration offers an opportunity to support current and future aviation professionals and host attendees in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

WAI2026 is a three-day conference that brings together aviation and aerospace professionals, students, and industry leaders for keynote sessions, career development activities, networking, and educational sessions. As part of its participation, American Airlines will award eight scholarships during the conference, take part in panel discussions and networking events, and sponsor the Pioneer Hall of Fame dinner and the Career Panel for Girls in Aviation Day Dallas on March 21.

Lynda Coffman, CEO of Women in Aviation International, said the organization values American’s role as a strategic partner in 2026 and its participation as the Official Airline for the conference, which aims to attract around 5,000 attendees to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
