Akasa Air and uppercase Launch Eco-Conscious Travel Gear for Cabin Crew
Akasa Air has partnered with uppercase, a made-in-India lifestyle brand focused on sustainable baggage solutions, to introduce custom-designed cabin strollers and tote bags for its cabin crew.
This collaboration brings together two homegrown brands committed to innovation, sustainability, and employee-focused design. The initiative reflects a shared approach to developing functional, responsible products that enhance everyday use without compromising style or purpose.
Developed with input from Akasa Air’s crew members, the custom travel gear is tailored to meet the practical needs of frequent flying. The cabin stroller features a hard-shell exterior in Akasa’s signature colours, smooth dual wheels, TSA-approved locks, and dedicated compartments for shoes, laundry, and essentials. It is paired with a matching tote bag that secures on top of the stroller for additional storage and support.
Both items are crafted using RCS-certified recycled materials and designed to reduce environmental impact, in line with both companies’ broader sustainability efforts.

“This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to employee well-being and comfort,” said Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and COO, Akasa Air.
“Our crew’s insights shaped every aspect of this gear, ensuring it balances functionality, style, and ease.”

Sudip Ghose, Founder and Managing Director, uppercase, added, “This was a meaningful partnership for us—two future-facing brands aligned by values of thoughtful design and sustainability. We created luggage made in India, for Indian crew, shaped by their real-world needs.”
The new travel gear is now part of Akasa Air’s cabin crew experience and represents an ongoing collaboration with uppercase. Future initiatives are expected to continue enhancing customer and employee journeys through sustainable innovation.
