Maharaja Club Members Can Earn and Redeem Points on Air India Express

Maharaja Club Integration Brings Air India Express Flights into Loyalty Programme

Air India has broadened its Maharaja Club loyalty program to include flights operated by Air India Express. This allows members to earn and redeem Maharaja Points on over 55 destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and West Asia. The update enables Maharaja Club members to use their loyalty benefits on both AI and AIX networks.

Members can now earn Maharaja Points and Tier Points on eligible AIX flights booked via Air India and Air India Express websites, mobile apps, and major travel agents. Additionally, eligible AIX flights will count towards tier advancement within the Maharaja Club, helping members accumulate Tier Points and fulfil the flight requirements to reach higher membership levels.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, AI, and Chairman, AIX, said the integration aims to improve the relevance of Maharaja Points across the wider Air India group network and to address long-standing demand from frequent flyers.

Earning Maharaja Points on AIX Flights

Maharaja Club members can earn points on AIX flights by entering their Maharaja Club ID during the booking process. At present, points cannot be claimed retrospectively for Air India Express bookings.

Members can add or update their Maharaja Club ID while booking through Air India and AIX, as well as select online travel partners. Currently, changes to membership IDs are not available through airport counters or contact centres.

The points-earning structure applies across fare categories, including fares for senior citizens, students, and armed forces personnel. Points are calculated on the base fare and fuel surcharge.

For example, travellers searching for flights between Delhi and Guwahati on Air India platforms may find AIX flights under AI flight numbers, which can be booked using Maharaja Points.

Redemption options begin from 1,500 Maharaja Points, depending on the route and fare category.
