AirAsia celebrated Malaysia Day at the Keretapi Sarong 2025, an annual cultural event organised by LOCCO Malaysia.

This year, AirAsia introduced Desa Serumpun AirAsia, a kampung-inspired concept that brought people together to celebrate culture, food, music and heritage. ‘Desa Serumpun’ reflects AirAsia’s vision of unity in diversity, where ‘Desa’ symbolises community, while ‘Serumpun’ represents the traditional roots.
The airline also curated a full experience that highlighted its connection to the nation’s identity, including stage performances by AirAsia FunTeam, Santan Food Truck offering street food, interactive booth with childhood games and snacks, exclusive merchandise distribution and contest and flights giveaways.
Keretapi Sarong has grown into a nationwide movement that gathers all the citizens in traditional attire, riding trains together in a display of cultural pride and inclusivity.
AirAsia’s active participation every year reflects its ongoing commitment to championing Malaysian heritage while engaging with the community in meaningful ways.
