Niyama Private Islands Completes Pavilion Transformation in the Maldives

Niyama Private Islands Maldives has completed the final phase of its year-long transformation with the unveiling of redesigned beach and overwater pavilions.

The refurbished accommodation ranges from 350 to 770 square metres and is available in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations, catering to families, groups, and longer stays. The updated design focuses on open living spaces with improved indoor-outdoor connectivity.

Each pavilion features a living room, dining area, pantry, private swimming pool and jacuzzi. The overwater pavilions provide direct access to the lagoon, while the beach pavilions are set along a secluded stretch of coastline with snorkelling opportunities nearby.

The resort has also introduced The Crescent, a collection of five connected pavilions linked by a private boardwalk. Designed for larger groups of up to 22 guests, the accommodation includes multiple living areas, five private pools with jacuzzis, and dedicated butler and housekeeping services. Guests staying at The Crescent can also enjoy private dining experiences, including an underwater breakfast and a beach barbecue followed by an outdoor cinema experience.

Alongside the accommodation upgrades, Niyama has refreshed its dining experiences. Guests can dine at Nest, serving Asian cuisine in a treetop setting, or visit Subsix, the resort’s underwater restaurant, which offers a Nikkei-inspired tasting menu beneath the ocean’s surface.

The resort has also opened a new Surf Shack beside its surf and marine centre, providing a relaxed space for surfers and guests overlooking the island’s popular surf break.

Despite the refurbishment, the resort continues to preserve its natural surroundings, with tropical vegetation, marine life and beaches remaining central to the guest experience.

Hafidh Al Busaidy, General Manager of Niyama Private Islands Maldives, said the refurbishment builds on the experiences guests have valued over the years while maintaining the resort’s character.
