Accor Signs Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar, Set to Open in 2030
Accor has announced the signing of Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar, a luxury resort planned in the foothills of the Himalayas near the River Ganges. Scheduled to open in 2030, the project will expand Accor’s luxury presence in India and introduce the Sofitel brand to the Rishikesh region.

This resort reflects our intent to create luxury experiences that connect guests with culture, nature and wellness.”
Resort location and accommodation
Set across eight acres in Narendra Nagar, overlooking the Ganges valley, the resort will feature 160 rooms and suites. The design will combine contemporary elements with local influences, with views of the surrounding mountains and landscaped gardens.
Dining offerings
Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar will include five dining venues, comprising:
A signature restaurant
Speciality rooftop dining
Pool bar and grill
Lobby lounge and bar
The food and beverage concept will draw from French and Indian culinary traditions.
Wellness and leisure facilities
The resort’s wellness facilities will include:
Two swimming pools
A 623 sq m Sofitel Spa with six treatment rooms
A fitness centre
Yoga and meditation programmes inspired by local practices
Meetings, events and weddings
Event facilities will include over 2,000 sq m of banqueting space, with indoor ballrooms, outdoor lawns and a dedicated bridal suite. The resort is positioned to host weddings, wellness retreats, meetings and conferences.

Development partnership
The resort is being developed in collaboration with Dangayach Group, an Indian conglomerate with operations across hospitality, jewellery and real estate. The group’s hotel portfolio includes partnerships with brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Radisson and ITC.

Sustainability focus
The project will be developed as a new-build resort and will follow Accor’s sustainability and energy-efficiency guidelines under its Planet 21 and Gaia 2.0 frameworks.
Once operational, Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar is expected to support Accor’s growth in India’s luxury leisure segment, aligned with increasing interest in wellness, culture and sustainable travel experiences.
