AirAsia Becomes AirAsia Group Berhad After Corporate Name Change

AirAsia Group Begins New Phase Following Rebranding

AirAsia Group Berhad has officially completed its corporate name change from AirAsia X Berhad to AirAsia Group Berhad, following shareholder approval at the company’s 19th Annual General Meeting on 25 June 2026.

The new name was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) and became effective on 2 July 2026.

The company said the rebranding reflects its evolution into a more integrated airline group as it continues to expand its network and strengthen operations across Asia and other international markets.

Supporting Future Growth

The transition brings the group’s airline operations under a single corporate identity, supporting its plans to improve connectivity, optimise its route network and enhance operational efficiency.

The company said the integrated structure is intended to support future expansion while continuing to offer affordable air travel across its network.

He added that the consolidated structure will support network growth, improve connectivity and create additional opportunities for the business as travel demand across Asia and ASEAN continues to develop.

The group also said it will continue to focus on disciplined growth, operational efficiency, and expanding access to air travel while building on its established network across the region.
