IHCL Portfolio Grows as 11 Hotels Open Across India and International Markets

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has continued to expand its hotel network during the first quarter of FY2027, signing 20 new hotels and opening 11 properties. As of 30 June 2026, the company’s portfolio stands at 645 hotels, including 382 operating properties and a pipeline of 263 hotels.

The latest signings were largely driven by IHCL’s Gateway, Ginger and Tree of Life brands, accounting for 17 of the 20 agreements signed during the quarter. The company entered new destinations such as Bharatpur, Trichy, Sindhudurg, Jawai and Wayanad, while also strengthening its presence in established markets including Mumbai, Goa, Agra and Kolkata.

Commenting on the company’s development activity, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the focus remains on expanding growth brands while increasing the company’s footprint across leisure and business destinations.

During the quarter, the Taj brand also reached a portfolio of 150 hotels with new signings in Dharamshala, Barapani in Meghalaya and Kusur Valley in Maharashtra, further expanding its presence in leisure destinations.

Taj Hessischer Hof Opens in Frankfurt

The company also added 11 operational hotels during the quarter, taking its operating portfolio to more than 380 hotels. Internationally, IHCL opened the Taj Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt and the Taj Bush Lodge in the Greater Kruger, South Africa.

Within India, the SeleQtions brand expanded with the opening of Ayodhayam in Ayodhya and Bandra House in Mumbai. Gateway added a new property in Kandla, while Ginger continued its expansion with new hotels in Hyderabad, Agra, Kota, Gadchiroli in Maharashtra and Siwan in Bihar.
