Porter Airlines Codeshare Adds New Travel Options for British Airways Customers

British Airways and Canadian carrier Porter Airlines have announced a new codeshare agreement, giving British Airways customers access to selected Porter Airlines domestic routes across Canada.

Under the partnership, BA customers will be able to book connecting flights to 17 destinations in Canada, including Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg, through Toronto or Montreal. The agreement expands the range of destinations available to customers travelling between Canada and the United Kingdom.

The new arrangement also allows members of The British Airways Club to earn Avios and tier points when travelling on eligible Porter Airlines flights, providing additional opportunities to collect rewards and access loyalty programme benefits.

Porter Airlines, based in Toronto, operates flights to more than 40 destinations across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The airline offers a two-by-two seating configuration, complimentary snacks and beverages, and onboard Wi-Fi on selected services.

As part of the codeshare agreement, Porter-operated flights to 17 Canadian destinations will be available for booking under a British Airways flight code through the airline’s booking channels. Customers will be able to book their journey in a single transaction, simplifying travel across the combined network.

The partnership provides easier access to destinations across Canada, including cities on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

Neil Chernoff

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, said: “We are pleased to launch this codeshare agreement with Porter Airlines. The partnership provides our customers with additional travel options across Canada and greater flexibility when planning their journeys.”
