Etihad and Condor Strengthen Partnership with New Bangkok Service
Etihad Partnership Expands Through Loyalty Agreement and Network Growth
Etihad Airways and Condor have expanded their strategic partnership by signing a new frequent-flyer agreement and announcing a new Condor route between Bangkok and Abu Dhabi.
The developments were unveiled at the IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro and mark the latest phase of the partnership, first announced in December 2025.
The new Bangkok service will join Condor’s planned daily flights from Frankfurt and Berlin to Abu Dhabi, making it the third route in the airline’s developing Abu Dhabi operation. The expansion is expected to improve connectivity through the UAE capital and provide travellers with access to a wider range of destinations across both carriers’ networks.
As part of the new loyalty agreement, members of the Etihad Guest programme will be able to redeem miles on Condor-operated flights, opening access to destinations across Europe, North America, the Caribbean and other regions served by the German airline.
The partnership already includes a codeshare agreement and continues to develop across network connectivity, loyalty programmes, commercial cooperation and operational initiatives aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers.
By combining Condor’s leisure-focused network in Germany with Etihad’s international network via Abu Dhabi, the two airlines are creating additional travel options across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said the partnership continues to deliver benefits for both airlines and their customers while supporting Abu Dhabi’s position as an international travel hub.
He noted that the addition of Bangkok complements Condor’s planned Frankfurt and Berlin services and creates further opportunities for connectivity between Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
De added that the loyalty agreement provides Etihad Guest members with access to more destinations across the Condor network and creates opportunities for deeper future cooperation.
Jens Boyd, Commercial Director and Member of the Executive Committee at Condor, said the partnership has continued to develop, offering passengers greater flexibility and additional travel choices.
“With the new connection between Bangkok and Abu Dhabi, we are expanding our offering and strengthening connectivity between Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia,” Boyd said.
Once operational, Condor’s Abu Dhabi network will include services from Frankfurt, Berlin and Bangkok, providing passengers with convenient access to Etihad’s network across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia, including destinations such as Zanzibar and Salalah.
The expanded partnership is expected to support tourism and business travel flows through Abu Dhabi while strengthening links between Europe, the UAE and Asia.
