Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC Elevates Chef Amit Dean to Executive Sous Chef

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) has announced the elevation of Chef Amit Dean to the position of Executive Sous Chef, reinforcing the property’s focus on culinary excellence and innovation.

Chef Amit brings a diverse culinary background shaped by experience across leading hospitality brands in India and international markets, including The Oberoi Rajvilas, Carnival Cruise Line, Hyatt Regency Lucknow, Marriott Indore, Hyatt Jamaica, and his tenure with Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC.

With experience spanning luxury hotels, cruise operations, and international banqueting, he has developed expertise across Indian, Italian, and Jamaican cuisines, along with a strong understanding of regional Indian flavours, global culinary techniques, and large-scale food production.
In his new role, Chef Amit will support the overall culinary direction of the property, working across its restaurants, banqueting operations, weddings, events, and bespoke dining experiences. His responsibilities include enhancing the hotel’s food and beverage offerings, strengthening its culinary portfolio, and delivering personalised guest experiences across business, leisure, and MICE segments.
The property features multiple dining venues, including Food Exchange, Permit To Grill, The Bar, and Le Café, offering a range of regional and international cuisines, grill concepts, and casual dining formats.
The elevation comes as the hotel continues to expand its culinary initiatives, including themed food festivals, chef-led menus, private dining experiences, wedding catering, and conference banqueting. The culinary team also supports events hosted at HICC, including conventions, exhibitions, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations.
