SWISS Launches “Fit All the Way” to Promote Wellness in the Sky

Swiss International Air Lines is expanding its onboard offering with the introduction of “Fit All The Way,” a new optional service designed to promote passenger well-being on long-haul flights. The initiative reflects a broader industry trend toward enhancing comfort and health-focused travel experiences.

New SWISS Service Lets Passengers Stay Active on Long Flights

As part of the new concept, selected seats will be equipped with integrated pedal systems, allowing passengers to engage in light physical activity during the flight. The discreetly installed devices are adjustable and can be used at an individual pace, enabling travellers to incorporate movement into their journey without leaving their seats.

The service also includes an onboard fitness kit featuring athletic wear, a reusable water bottle, and a scented towel inspired by the airline’s Alpine-themed fragrance. The offering is designed to support both relaxation and activity, aligning with evolving passenger expectations for wellness-oriented travel.

The system has undergone testing in both ground-based simulations and real flight conditions to ensure functionality and comfort. From a design perspective, the pedal mechanism has been integrated into the seat structure to align with the airline’s cabin aesthetics under its “SWISS Senses” concept, maintaining a consistent look and feel across the aircraft interior.

According to Heike Birlenbach, the initiative aims to provide passengers with additional options to enhance comfort, particularly on long-duration flights. The new service is now available for booking through the airline’s official channels.

“With ‘Fit all the way,’ we are intentionally expanding our offering to include a new dimension of travel,” says Heike Birlenbach, Chief Customer Officer at SWISS. “We want to give our passengers even more ways to feel comfortable and stay active, especially on longer flights.

With this launch, SWISS continues to explore innovative ways to redefine the in-flight experience, combining functionality, design, and passenger well-being in response to changing travel preferences.
