Rap Bua Festival

30 September – 8 October 2025
Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai, Samut Prakan

The Rap Bua Festival is held annually at the end of Buddhist Lent at Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai. The event features the “lotus receiving” ceremony, where lotus flowers are offered in honor of the Luang Pho To image as it floats along the Samrong Canal. Visitors can enjoy food stalls, shopping, and an amusement park across the nine-day festival.

Hat Yai Moon Festival 2025

3–6 October 2025
Srinakorn Foundation School, Hat Yai, Songkhla

The festival celebrates the Mid-Autumn tradition with cultural activities, performances, and community gatherings. Visitors can sample mooncakes, local food, and enjoy live stage shows featuring various artists.

Surat Thani Chak Phra, Thot Phapa, and Long Boat Races Festival 2025

Miracle of Naga: Nong Khai 2025

The festival features fireballs rising from the Mekong, traditional dances honoring the Naga serpent, parades, wax castle processions, illuminated boat displays, and Tak Bat Devo ceremonies. Long boat races, walking streets, food fairs, and local markets are also part of the event.

The Ok-Wa Tradition 2025

6–8 October 2025
Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son

This event marks the end of Buddhist Lent. Highlights include the “Cultural Plaza” ceremony at Wat Uthayaram, live music, the Ngeung Candle Procession, and the Miss Ok-Wa beauty contest. Visitors can join cultural activities, parades, and rituals over three days.

Chak Phra and Tak Bat Devo

6–9 October 2025

The festival includes boat processions, competitions for the Royal Trophy, and participation in the Tak Bat Devo almsgiving ceremony.

Devotees and visitors offer rice, dried food, and sticky rice parcels to monks. The event includes a parade depicting scenes from the Buddha’s life.
