Tathastu Resorts Launches Satpura Wildlife Retreat in Madhya Pradesh

New Property Marks Fifth Jungle Resort in India Portfolio

Tathastu Resorts has launched ‘Tathastu Satpura’, a new wildlife retreat located near Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh. With this addition, the group expands its presence across key wildlife destinations in India, adding Satpura as its fifth property after Pench, Kanha, Tadoba and Bandhavgarh.

The retreat features 34 villa rooms and five pool suites, designed to offer a stay connected to the surrounding forest landscape. The accommodation features private verandas and forest-facing spaces, allowing guests to experience the natural setting while enjoying modern comforts. Each unit is equipped with two washrooms, offering added convenience for guests preparing for early morning safaris.

Speaking on the launch, Anil Agarwala, Managing Director, Tathastu Resorts, said Satpura offers a quieter alternative for travellers interested in nature and wildlife. He noted that the new property is designed to reflect the region’s character, with a focus on immersive, nature-led experiences.

Dining at the resort is centred around ‘Gilhari’, a multi-cuisine restaurant inspired by the Indian Giant Squirrel found in the region. The property also includes a bar designed with natural materials and earthy tones.

Wildlife experiences form a key part of the stay, with guided safaris into the Satpura Tiger Reserve offering sightings of tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, and a range of birdlife. The reserve is known for its varied terrain and relatively low visitor density, offering a different safari experience compared to other parks.

In addition to safaris, the resort offers activities such as jungle walks, riverside evenings, pottery sessions and reflexology walks. Guests can also access indoor recreational facilities, a games room, a box cricket area, karaoke sessions and a temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool.

As part of its social initiative, the resort includes a team of visually impaired therapists providing spa services.

With the addition of Satpura, Tathastu Resorts continues to build its portfolio of properties located in and around India’s tiger reserves, focusing on travel experiences connected to wildlife, nature and local environments.

The launch reflects steady interest in wildlife travel in India, as more travellers seek experiences centred on nature and outdoor exploration.
