New SVP- Hospitality & Tourism Appointed at Sona Star Private Limited

APPOINTMENT

The Sona Valliappa Group has announced the appointment of Dharmendra R S as Senior Vice President – Hospitality & Tourism for its hospitality division, Sona Star Private Limited.

With nearly 25 years of experience, Dharmendra began his journey with the HM Group, where as General Manager – Operations, he managed 50+ Family Entertainment Centres and F&B brands such as Three Quarter Chinese, Chutney Chang, Subz, and Amoeba Sports Bar.

He later served as Chief Operating Officer at Gigu Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (Gilly’s Group), where he was instrumental in building Gilly’s into one of the most celebrated hospitality brands across South India.

Commenting on his appointment, Dharmendra said, “My goal is to craft destinations that don’t just host guests, but heal and inspire them — where nature, culture, and community come together to create experiences that last beyond the stay.”
