Santo Collection Resorts & Villas Appoints Vaios Koukoumtzis as Executive Chef for 2026 Season

Santo Collection Resorts & Villas has appointed Vaios Koukoumtzis as Executive Chef for the 2026 season. In this role, he will lead the culinary operations across the group’s properties in Santorini, Greece.

Chef Koukoumtzis brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He will oversee the development and execution of dining concepts across the portfolio, working with restaurant teams to design menus that incorporate local ingredients and contemporary culinary techniques.

His appointment continues his long association with Metaxa Hospitality Group, the parent company of Santo Collection, where he has held senior culinary positions over a period of two decades. During this time, he served as Executive Chef at properties including Candia Maris Resort & Spa and Creta Maris Resort, among other hotels in Greece.
He has also gained international experience through his work at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales, where he was involved in fine-dining operations and exposure to global culinary trends.
