Sterling Launches Valley of Pine Retreat in Lansdowne, Uttarakhand
Sterling Holiday Resorts has announced the launch of Sterling Valley of Pine, Lansdowne, a boutique mountain retreat located amid pine forests near Gumkhal in Uttarakhand. The opening marks Sterling’s ninth resort in the state, adding to its presence across key hill and forest destinations.
Sterling Valley of Pine, Lansdowne, has been developed as a quiet, forest-oriented retreat within the brand’s hill portfolio. Designed for travellers seeking space, privacy, and time outdoors, the property is suited for leisure stays, small celebrations, and leadership off-sites. Its location also allows it to function as a connector within Uttarakhand’s drive-to travel circuit, particularly for visitors from Delhi NCR and western Uttar Pradesh.
The resort has been planned to frame valley views from multiple vantage points. All rooms feature private balconies overlooking the pine-covered landscape, while select rooms offer access to open terraces facing the pool and surrounding forests. The guest experience focuses on food-led gatherings and shared moments, supported by three dedicated venues:
Lans Café – an all-day dining restaurant with valley and garden views
Sky Social – an open-air terrace for sunset gatherings, bonfire evenings, and small events
Sky Vista – a glass-walled meeting space overlooking the forest, designed for off-sites and workshops

Commenting on the launch, Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts, said that Uttarakhand remains an important year-round destination for domestic travellers. He noted that Valley of Pine, Lansdowne, adds a calmer, design-led offering to Sterling’s mountain portfolio and strengthens the brand’s presence across destinations such as Mussoorie, Nainital, Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Jim Corbett National Park, enabling more connected travel experiences across the region.

Also speaking on the partnership, Meghna Bhatnagar of Dev Bhoomi said the collaboration with Sterling aims to bring a distinctive retreat experience to Lansdowne, combining refined hospitality with an understanding of India’s leisure travel market.

Additional facilities at the resort include a swimming pool, steam and sauna, guided nature walks, bonfire evenings, curated regional cuisine, and pet-friendly accommodation, positioning it as an off-the-grid option for extended stays.
Located near Gumkhal, Lansdowne, the resort is approximately 136 km from Rishikesh, 175 km from Dehradun, 200 km from Mussoorie, 219–252 km from Nainital, and about 118 km from Jim Corbett National Park. The location allows travellers to combine mountain, spiritual, urban, and wildlife destinations within a single itinerary.
