Rory Emslie Appointed as New General Manager at Lido House

APPOINTMENT

Lido House has announced the appointment of Rory Emslie as General Manager.

In his new role, Rory will lead all aspects of the hotel’s operations. He will also guide the property through its current expansion, which includes the debut of five new luxury cottages, an expanded banquet event space, and the launch of the property’s new Glass House located on Newport Lawn.

Rory joined Lido House in 2021, where he has served as Director of Rooms, Resident Manager, and, most recently, hotel manager. Under his leadership, the property garnered maximum positive guest reviews and revenue growth in its food and beverage outlets.

Before joining the Lido House team, Emslie spent almost a decade with Marriott International.

After earning his degree in Hospitality Management, he joined The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, where he quickly rose through the ranks in housekeeping, front office, and guest relations, eventually becoming front of house manager.

His leadership was recognized with The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel Leader of the Year award in 2017 and the Marriott Global Discipline Award in 2018.

He has also played a key role in opening of many hospitality venues, including The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara Santa Barbara, and the launch of Evrima, the first Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection vessel, in Europe in 2022.
