Qatar Airways to Launch Flights to The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia
Qatar Airways has announced the launch of flights to The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, with three weekly services starting 21 October 2025. This will be the airline’s 12th destination in Saudi Arabia.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “The addition of The Red Sea route expands our network in Saudi Arabia and provides more travel options through our hub at Hamad International Airport.”

John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global, added: “These flights support our efforts to grow The Red Sea as an international destination, connecting travellers to new experiences and cultural opportunities.”
The inaugural flight is scheduled for 21 October 2025:
- Doha (DOH) to The Red Sea (RSI) – QR1226: Departs 09:15; Arrives 12:15
- The Red Sea (RSI) to Doha (DOH) – QR1227: Departs 14:15; Arrives 16:45
- From 23 October 2025, flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday:
- Doha (DOH) to The Red Sea (RSI) – QR1226: Departs 07:45; Arrives 10:45
- The Red Sea (RSI) to Doha (DOH) – QR1227: Departs 11:45; Arrives 14:15
The Red Sea International Airport, opened in 2023 and operated by daa International, is designed to handle over one million passengers annually by 2030. Privilege Club members can earn and redeem Avios on this new route for flights, shopping, dining, and lifestyle rewards.
